ODL

ODL expanded its textured glass offerings in simulated divided lights with four textures. Blanca has a frosted, slightly stippled surface designed to provide a high level of privacy. Chinchilla features fine lines and a fur-like texture that creates a wave pattern from afar. Micro-Granite (pictured) is a high-privacy option that blends several textures and patterns, while Streamed is a vertical pattern with a strong ribbed texture.

Viracon

Viracon introduces its coating, VRE-4725, featuring neutral to graphite reflected tones, 47 percent visible light transmission, and a 0.25 solar heat gain coefficient. The coating can be combined with a broad selection of other fabrication options and can be applied to a variety of tinted substrates to alter the exterior aesthetics and further improve solar performance and glare reduction, according to the company. It can be applied on the same surface as digital print or silkscreen.

Cardinal Glass Industries

Cardinal Glass Industries launched Quad LoE-452, a true four-layer silver coating with solar control and the lowest emissivity within the Cardinal Glass family of low-E coatings, say officials. Quad 452 comes standard with Neat+ glass, creating a combination of superior performance and naturally cleaner glass. Quad 452 has a solar heat gain coefficient of 0.22, a visible transmittance of 52 percent, and a 2.30 light-to-solar-gain ratio.

Glasslam: Sudden Impact Security IG

Sudden Impact is a new patented method of turning IG production into dual-purpose security laminated glass. Once an insulating glass unit is produced and selected for security glass, the IG is horizontally filled with a two-component polyurethane resin material to the desired interlayer thickness for protection required. A computer-controlled meter-mix pump and dispensing machine is the heart of this method of creating an inter-layer for protection. U-shaped IG spacers and PU flexible foam spacers are top candidates for this system.
