Vertical laminator
Walco VX2 is a vertical laminator designed specifically for the application of protective film on insulating glass units and flat glass. Fully automated, the VX2 uses technology that allows the application of protective film on both sides of the glass in a single pass because of its automated adjustment system. Equipped with intelligent technology, it is automatically adjusted to the length and height of glass up to 3,000 millimeters.

Glass protection
PDS ProFilm System allows fabricators to protect their glass immediately through a high-speed inline applicator that can maintain insulating glass line speeds. Protective films ensure product cleanliness from factory to finish, reducing potential for damage during manufacturing, and end-of-job cleaning time and costs. The PDS ProFilm System features auto measuring technology and can film more than 1,500 operating-size units per shift. No film trimming is required. A variety of module sizes and film widths are available.

Flat Lamination system
Burkle North America Inc.'s Inline Flat Lamination system, which officials call a truly advanced way to laminate glass, in a variety of applications. Whether in the field of security, sound insulation, building construction or multimedia functionalities, the versatile application of laminated glass has no limits, they say. With the development of inline flat lamination, Burkle is taking this idea further with an autoclave-free process. This innovation enables fast lamination with short cycle times and low energy consumption, with the highest possible quality.

Cutting table
Eastman’s static table system is capable of cutting, marking and punching virtually any flexible material at speeds of up to 60 inches per second. The static cutting table can process materials like nylon and vinyl as well as difficult-to-cut materials—such as polystrand, p-tex and fiberglass-polyester blends. The system’s high-precision configuration features multi-axis motion for more defined and accurate cuts. Material is spread across the static table by an operator or with the use of a pneumatic gripper bar.

Parallel Process Line
Erdman’s Vertical Insulating Glass Parallel Process Line derives its name from the innovation of shuttling the topping lite to a back lane, allowing the two glass lites to run parallel to each other, leading to a significant increase in speed, according to the company. Compared to traditional IG processes, the line is more ergonomic and has less wasted motion by the operator, company officials report. There are no manual touches to glass after washer and no close contact between operators. It requires three to four operators. The line also includes auto placement of spacer location, and argon is filled and finished on the line.
